Why work with me

Your Extron programmer, without the payroll

Certified Extron programmer

Extron Authorized Programmer and EQIP Independent Programmer, with the control and Pro DSP certifications up to date. Not a brand I touch once in a while: one of the two platforms I work with every day.

White-label for integrators

I work as backup for your team, not as competition. On site I introduce myself as part of your company and documentation carries your branding. Your client is yours today and five years from now.

Fixed fee and the code is yours

Written fixed-fee quote before we start, no hour counters. On handover you get the commented sources, the wiring diagrams and the IP list: the system stays maintainable by anyone.

Services

What I do with Extron

Each block can be hired separately or as a full project. I step in wherever you are short of capacity.

Global Configurator Pro

Complete GC Pro programs: variables and monitors, device macros, timers, schedules and watchdogs. Tidy, commented logic — not a pile of loose macros nobody can maintain.

Global Scripter (Python)

When GC Pro falls short: custom drivers in ControlScript/extronlib, REST API integration, complex conditional logic and devices with no official driver.

TLP Pro and TLC panels

GUI Designer interfaces for TLP Pro 725T, 1025M, 535M and TLC 521M, plus Extron Control for iOS and web. Designed so the end user gets it right first time, without a manual.

Extron DSP and audio

DMP and ProDSP: mixing matrix, AEC for videoconferencing, equalisation and room tuning with Class 1 instrumentation. Extron Pro DSP certified.

Switching and AV over IP

XTP and DTP matrices, SMP presenters and streaming, NAV over the network. Including the network design behind it: VLANs, multicast and IGMP done properly from the start.

Rescue and commissioning

Half-finished Extron project, or a programmer who vanished? I audit what is there, tell you what can be reused and give you a fixed price to get it working and documented.

How I work

From your call to the delivered system

1

Tell me about the project

Drawings, BOM, spec or a 15-minute call. The Extron equipment list and what the room has to do is enough for me to size it up.

2

Fixed price

Written fixed-fee quote, usually within 24–48 h. You know what programming costs you before committing to your client.

3

Remote development

I program and test on the bench while you keep running the site. I show you progress so there are no surprises on start-up day.

4

Commissioning

On-site checklist testing, user training and handover with sources, diagrams and IP list. Post-handover support included.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do you program Extron white-label for integrators?

Yes, that is my usual way of working. Most of my Extron projects come through integrators who need a certified programmer without putting one on the payroll. On site I am part of your team and I do not go after your client.

What is the difference between Global Configurator Pro and Global Scripter?

GC Pro is guided configuration: it solves most standard rooms with variables, monitors and macros, and anyone with Extron training can maintain it. Global Scripter is Python (ControlScript): you use it when you need logic GC Pro cannot express, custom drivers or API integration. I pick whichever leaves the system simpler to maintain, not the one that looks more impressive.

Can you write a driver for a device that is not in the Extron database?

Yes. I write the driver in Global Scripter from the manufacturer protocol (RS-232, TCP, HTTP/REST) and package it as a .pkp so it sits in the project just like an official driver. If the manufacturer does not publish the protocol, it can be reverse-engineered from real captures off the device.

Do you work outside Madrid?

Yes. I am based in Madrid but work all over Spain and Portugal. Development and much of the support are done remotely over VPN, so the only trips planned are the ones that actually add something: commissioning and final testing.

Do you hand over the source code of the Extron program?

Always, no exceptions. You get the .gcpro or the Global Scripter project, commented, plus the wiring diagrams, the IP list and the user manual. I do not believe in locking a client in by hiding their own system from them.

How long does programming an Extron room take?

A standard meeting room is usually one or two weeks of development plus commissioning. An auditorium or a multi-room project with DSP and AV over IP is measured in weeks. You get the timeline together with the fixed price, before we start.
